Obesity in children and Adolescence


Pediatric nurses can usually find themselves filled with unpredictable twists and turns while working in their felid. One of the biggest issues in America today is obesity in children and adolescents. According to children’s health Up to one out of every five children in the U. S. is overweight or obese, and this number is continuing to rise.

Ways to prevent obesity in children
*Reduce the amount of calories given to your child.
* increase the amount of physical activity one might need
*being kind and letting know he or she is loved


Research has found for youth six through seventeen years of age the coast in hospital coast is dramatically rising. Hospital coast has risen from $35 million during 1979 to 1981 to$127 million during 1997 to 1999.
